Fort Santa Agueda

This fort dates back from Spanish times. It sits atop Agana Heights.
This gives it a great view over Hagåtña and the bay.
Three of the type of cannons Spain used at the fort.
Click to make this bigger and read some history about the fort.

just a typical Guam day ...

Shot this one during lunch. While stopped at a traffic light.
Yep ... it's pretty much ALWAYS this gorgeous, my darlings!

a bridge over no water ...

The Sagan I Tolai Acho, or San Antonio Bridge located in Hagåtña.
It once spanned the Hagåtña River, but
the waterway was redirected following World War II.
Now, it's a small, quaint park in the island's capital.

suprising bits of jungle ...

the fun thing about Guam is you can be driving
in a residential or urban area and, suddenly,
hit a patch of jungle out of the blue ... or green.

these pics were taken along my drive from
the office to home. on one side of this patch
is apartments, the other side offices.
Right across the street is a bank.
