how now, karabao?

Have you ever heard of CowParade? The Web site says it is the world’s largest public art event. What is it? There are a bunch of cow sculptures that go from city to city, with artists in each new place painting the cows, which are then featured all around the city.

Someone from here came up with a similar idea, using the iconic karabao, a tame version of the water buffalo introduced to Guam by the Spanish way back when.

There are a bunch around Guam, in several different poses. Here are two that are in Hagåtña. I'll try to get pics of more of them as I can. ;)
